Coaching is a reflective, goal-oriented process that helps you gain insight, build skills, and move forward intentionally in areas of life that matter to you.
Supervision can benefit people in different roles and is an official requirement in some professions. Supervision can help to develop competence and confidence, comply with codes of conduct, navigate challenging work scenarios, maintain mental health and wellbeing, achieve sustainable growth and fulfilment, and work towards other personal and professional goals.
I am a Registered Psychologist, with a Level 5 (NZQA 4602) Qualification in Supervision Skills for Health and Social Service Professionals.
I have years of experience providing coaching, training, and supervision for healthcare and mental health professionals, as well as firsthand experience receiving supervision. Most recently, in my roles as Helpline Manager (2016-2021) and National Manager (2021-2023) at Anxiety NZ Trust, and as a mentor in Massey University's tuakana-teina programme for Intern Psychologists (since 2025).
I have worked in various health and mental health organisations, holding both junior and senior positions. My background includes managing teams of up to 90+ people (primarily volunteers), as well as developing and delivering training programmes, managing projects and organisational changes, and facilitating collaborative initiatives. These experiences have honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the diverse challenges and rewards of working in the helping professions.
Worker wellbeing is a special interest of mine, and in 2022 I presented at the Transforming Mental Health Conference on the topic of "Workforce Resilience: Reducing Stress and Burnout During Challenging Times".
I am committed to providing coaching and supervision that is empathic, empowering, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Drawing on diverse frameworks, I work collaboratively with clients to nurture their strengths, deepen their insights, and refine their practices. Together, we integrate an awareness of professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities, and focus on enhancing performance, promoting wellbeing, and addressing the unique challenges and aspirations that shape the client's journey.
I invite you to also read my bio for further information about my background, and more.
What to expect: Coaching and Supervision are provided online. In our initial session, we will typically discuss your background and explore your unique coaching or supervision needs and goals.
This session also provides an opportunity for us to reflect on whether we are the right fit to work together. Finding the right coach or supervisor is an important step, and if at any point you feel another professional might better suit your needs, I can provide information about others who may be a better fit.
After the first session, I will create a personalised coaching or supervision agreement for you to review and approve before we proceed with ongoing sessions.
For those seeking a single session with a specific focus, the process can be adapted to meet your goals without requiring the formalised agreement.
Frequency, duration, and cost: Sessions are 50 minutes long and cost $210 (GST included). They are typically scheduled on a fortnightly or monthly basis, but the frequency can be adjusted to suit your needs and preferences. One-off supervision sessions are also available if required.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice incur no fee. Cancellations made between 48 and 24 hours before a session will incur a 50% fee, and those made within 24 hours will be charged the full session fee.
I deeply value the time, effort, and resources clients invest in these sessions. When a cancellation incurs a cost, I aim to use the time in ways that benefit the client.
Access Online Coaching or Supervision: Coaching is on offer to adults (age 18+) seeking personal or professional growth. I also provide Professional Supervision for managers, therapists, and other healthcare and mental health professionals.
