If challenges are impacting your well-being or daily life - or if you just want to grow and thrive - therapy may be beneficial. It provides a supportive space to gain insight, develop coping skills, and build resilience, leading to greater well-being.

Registered psychologists have advanced training, professional accreditation, and ethical obligations to provide safe, evidence-based support. We can help you navigate challenges, develop coping strategies, and improve well-being with approaches tailored to your needs. Seeking therapy from a registered psychologist ensures you receive high-quality care backed by psychological research and professional standards.
I am a Registered Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board (registration number 90-08649).
My most relevant qualifications include a Master of Health Psychology (2018; University of Auckland), a level 5 micro-credential in Supervision Skills for Health and Social Service Professionals (2023; NZQA qualification 4602), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice (2025; Massey University).
I have years of experience providing therapeutic support, community workshops, collaborative initiatives, and training and supervision for mental health professionals. I also have varied cultural knowledge and experience and enjoy connecting with people from different walks of life.
I work with adults (age 18+) experiencing a range of challenges and therapy goals. I have a special interest in anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), depression, low self-esteem, relationships, health conditions, life transitions, and existential concerns.
I take an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

Therapy focuses on healing, emotional well-being, and addressing mental health challenges, often exploring past experiences and deeper patterns.
Coaching is more goal-oriented, helping you create change, build skills, and move forward in specific areas of life.
While both offer support and personal growth, therapy is best for those needing deeper emotional work, whereas coaching is suited for those looking for guidance in achieving goals.
If you're unsure which is right for you, feel free to reach out.

As I offer online services, I am able to support clients residing anywhere in Aotearoa New Zealand. Please note that I am not able to provide international services.
You're welcome to email me any questions or to book a free no-obligation brief phone call to see if we may be a good match.
Therapy, supervision, and coaching are provided exclusively online or over the phone. Consulting may be provided remotely or in person. Guidance can be provided for those who are not familiar with online support.
Research shows that guidance and support via digital platforms can be just as effective as in-person, with additional benefits. Many clients find it easier to open up from the comfort of their own environment. Online sessions offer greater flexibility, helping to fit support around life’s commitments. They can also reduce barriers like travel, mobility, or location – making Gold Tree Therapy services accessible to adults across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Gold Tree Therapy uses Carepatron's secure cloud-based client system to schedule appointments, complete forms, store client information, and meet online. Introductory information about our secure online systems and practices is provided on the Privacy Policy (
here).
You can self-refer for any Gold Tree Therapy service (therapy, supervision, coaching, consulting). Clinician referrals are also accepted for therapy.
Self-referral for any service: Simply email me to arrange a free, confidential 15-minute phone call with no obligation. Be sure to include the service you are interested in, and your full name, email address, and phone number.
For therapy, if we decide to move forward, I’ll send you a link to Carepatron's secure client system to complete the self-referral form.
Clinician referral for therapy: Clinicians can email me to request that I contact their client or patient about therapy. A secure clinician referral form can also be provided on request. You may also request a brief, confidential phone call before or after making a referral, or let me know if there's any other way I can assist.
Please ensure the client has given consent to be contacted, and confirm this in your email. Include the client's contact details, and clarify that this is a clinician referral. Also, provide your full name, role, organisation, email address, and phone number.
The frequency and number of sessions depend on your goals, availability, budget, and whether you're seeking short-term or long-term support.
Many clients start to experience positive change within six sessions. However, achieving lasting progress often requires more than 20 sessions, and some find long-term therapy beneficial for continued growth and support.
I am typically available to provide Gold Tree Therapy services on Mondays and Fridays between 10:30am and 6:30pm.
I also have some availability outside of these times and days - feel free to get in touch to discuss what might work.
Therapy is provided online.
In our first appointment, we will typically explore your background and experiences before discussing your therapy goals and preferences. This process may extend beyond the initial session to ensure a thoughtful approach to your needs.
We will also reflect on whether we are the right fit for working together. Finding a therapist who feels right for you is important, and if at any point you prefer to work with someone else, I can provide information on other therapists upon request.
Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental part of therapy. What you share in sessions is kept private, except in specific situations where I am legally or ethically required to break confidentiality. These limited situations are outlined in the Privacy Policy (
here). Clients are always informed of these limits to ensure they understand how their information is handled.
Using online technologies carries some privacy risks, as no internet-based communication can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Gold Tree Therapy takes every reasonable precaution to protect client information and collects and handles all data in accordance with New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020.

Therapy, Coaching, and Supervision sessions are 50 minutes long and cost $210 (GST included). These are all held online or over the phone. Consulting fees depend on the requested service and whether it is online or in person.
The fee for letters, reports, and other additional services would typically be $210 per hour (GST included) and would be agreed upon in advance.

I deeply value the time, effort, and resources clients invest in these sessions. When a cancellation incurs a cost, I aim to use the time in ways that benefit the client.
